Seven Minutes To Remember

NFL games are comprised for four 15 minute quarters, 60 minutes total. It took the Seahawks all of seven minutes to score 28 points, something the 2009 Seahawks accomplished only three times all season.

With 3 minutes left in the first half of Sunday’s game, the Seahawks were trailing 6-0. They scored their first touchdown with 2:26 left in the first half to pull ahead 7-6. After a Jordan Babineaux interception, they scored again with 1:27 left in the half.

Marcus Trufant delivered a pick-six on the first series of the second half, scoring at the 13:59 mark.

After another defensive stop, the offense got back to work and scored the Seahawks fourth TD on a pass to Deion Branch with 10:30 left in the 3rd quarter. There you have it, from 2:26 in the 1st half to 10:30 in the 3rd quarter, the scored went from 6-0 to 28-6. Explosive. Exhilarating. Decisive.

Time will tell what happens with this season, but nothing can take away those seven minutes.
