Hawk Blogger Podcast: Special Guest, ESPN’s Mike Sando

Vintage microphone and headphones on green background. Concept audio and studio recording. 3d
With apologies to all the other fantastic guests I’ve had on Hawk Blogger podcasts before, today’s guest has a unique significance. He inspired the creation of this Seahawks blog, and undoubtedly a number of others. His Seahawks Blog for the Tacoma News Tribune was an integral part of the magical 2005 Seahawks Super Bowl run. Many fans would name him before half the players on that team (Can you say Peter Warrick?), and he is certainly more popular than some (damn you, Etric Pruitt!). His interest in going a step beyond mundane regurgitation of quotes and half-baked opinions into true analysis of the sport helped separate him from his peers and land his current position as NFC West Blogger for ESPN. I speak, of course, of Mike Sando.

Mike and I spent 20+ minutes talking about his experiences as a reporter and blogger, and even talked old demons (damn you, Steve Hutchinson). If you are not following him on Twitter, it’s your loss!

Take a listen, and let me know what you think.
