Russell Okung Ruled Out Against AZ

Russell Okung has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against Arizona, according to the team’s official injury report.  Okung hasn’t practiced all week as a result of a bruised lung suffered in the Week 14 game versus San Francisco. Alvin Bailey will at Russell Wilson’s blind side in place of Okung.

Max Unger is listed as Doubtful on the injury report, which means Lemuel Jeanpierre will be tasked with holding off Arizona’s DT Calais Campbell.

Remaining injury status:

Doubtful:
DT DeMarcus Dobbs (ankle)

Questionable:
TE Tony Moeaki (shoulder)
WR Chris Matthews (hamstring)

Probable:
RB Marshawn Lynch (back)
TE Cooper Helfet (ankle)
WR Paul Richardson (hamstring)
G J.R. Sweezy (ankle)

Sweezy will also have his hands full against AZ’s pass rush, which sacked Wilson seven times last month. It would be ideal if Moeaki can get on the field with the lack of depth at tight end, but Helfet’s return is encouraging. Richardson sat out yesterday’s practice due to apparent hamstring tightness. His improved chemistry with Wilson is a bright spot in the passing game.
