Injury Report: Week 1

It’s almost time. Here’s the first injury report of the season for Seattle and Week 1 opponent St. Louis:

SEATTLE

Out:
LB M. Morgan (hamstring)

Limited:
TE C. Helfet (knee)
QB T. Jackson (ankle)
RB M. Lynch (not injury related)

ST. LOUIS

Out:
RB T. Mason (thigh)
LB D. Bates (knee)

Limited:
RB T. Gurley (knee)

With Tre Mason missing practice all week, he looks very unlikely to suit up Sunday. That leaves Benny Cunningham as the starter against what might be the best front seven the Seahawks have ever had. Look for Cunningham to get stonewalled early and often.
Mike Morgan will probably miss the opener with a hamstring issue, but in case you haven’t heard, these starting linebackers are pretty good. Lynch got a day of rest. Tavaris Jackson got a limited day in while recovering from an ankle sprain. His status is uncertain for Sunday. BJ Daniels would fill in as the No.2 QB if T-Jack can’t go.
With no major injuries suffered through camp and the preseason, the Seahawks are healthy, primed, and in great shape to kick off the year on the road against a division opponent that always tests them.
