Going to Seahawks game with my son is one of my life’s great joys. He was not always a fan of the game, but has become obsessed like his old man. Well, maybe not that obsessed. He is still only in high school, though, so finding places where we can hang out downtown before the game can be challenging. That is why I am so excited to try out a new tailgate option this weekend that includes unlimited food and drink, is open to kids, and will have a table to sit at without waiting an hour.

Instead of keeping this a secret, I thought it might be fun to let you all know about it in the hopes that maybe a few of us could meet in person. Meeting fellow Seahawks fans who frequent the blog is always a pleasure. It was part of why I started this site ten years ago.
The Details
When: Doors open 2.5 hours before kickoff (~10:30AM)
Where: Touchdown city, in a roped off area upstairs
What: PrimeSport tailgate party. Unlimited wine and beer. All-you-can-eat food. Tables to sit at. At least a couple TVs set up (hopefully with early games on)
Cost: $45 per ticket
That might sound a bit spendy, but consider that parking downtown is $50-60 alone (I take the bus to save some coin). When I go to a restaurant before the game, we generally get either breakfast or lunch, a few appetizers and a bunch of drinks. That regularly costs more than $45 per person and I have to stress out about getting there early enough to get a table. My hope is this is less stressful for me and my son.
Tickets are limited, and will probably sell out quickly.

I already have my tickets, and plan to get there pretty close to when it opens. I am debating whether or not I want to bring my iPad so I can watch NFL Redzone in case they don’t have that there. You can look for the guy wearing the Doug Baldwin jersey sitting with a couple of teenagers.
